Days We Haven’t Had

You’re right here and distant
In my heart and head
In all my devices
Sometimes in my bed
You hear what I say
Talk back to me
Feel the same way
Sweetly, yet bitterly

Dream of screaming memories
Trembling at the thought of these times
We haven’t had just yet
Wipe the tears from your mind’s eye
Imagining days not yet gone by
But we will never forget

I’m out there, impatient
Waiting to find you
You’re right there, but missing
And I miss you
You smile at me
The world slips away
Those words you say
Get me through anything

Dream of screaming memories
Trembling at the thought of these times
We haven’t had just yet
Wipe the tears from your mind’s eye
Imagining days not yet gone by
But we will never forget

It’s not so hard to understand
Wishing for days we haven’t had
The past is over
But it made us what we are right now

We’re in here together
The fire is burning
In different places
And different times
One picture of you
One look from you
One touch from you
One me one you

Dream of screaming memories
Trembling at the thought of these times
We haven’t had just yet
Wipe the tears from your mind’s eye
Imagining days not yet gone by
But we will never forget
