Suspiria’s Soothing Tones
I remain calm
A crisis shield
The rock the waves crash against
But like the rock
Even I erode away in time
I connect
These disparate peoples
A bridge between islands
But like the bridge
Even I can burn
I perform miracles
Anyone can do them
There’s no trick to it
But once revealed
Even I am disappointed
She comes to me
Holds me
Tells me I am fine
Tells me she loves me
Comforts me
Shows me
Makes me feel forever
Gives me hope and peace
Sings to me her love
High and cold outside
And little talks
Seduces me with her stare
She takes care of me
When I really need her
And in those moments
I know I belong to her
And her alone

Sigh….I truly admire the love you have.
My love doesn’t have rough spots anymore. It does still have slick spots, but we have plenty of salt.
I needed that image this morning….thank you!!
The rock just sits there watching the tide come and go. The rock asks the waves to stay but then just sits and doesn’t budge. The waves swirl and wait awhile until the tide carries the waves away. again.
But the tide, being the tide, comes back in again, as it has always done. The two crash together forever, until the rock is worn down, and they become beach and waves, forever touching.
Part of the same crashing sounds.
Instead of the violence of waves upon rock, it is the calm of the rhythmic sounds and motions.
The voice of the wave crashing upon rocks
A cacophony of a passionate joyful life
And the whisper of the tide on sand
A lullabye for the sleepy lovers on the shore
The storm that sometimes rages
Send the couple to shelter
Weathering it together
Until calm tides are restored
Cold rain from the storm
Soak them to the bone
But they find warmth in the comfort
That where their arms are is home
While their gazes are lost
And the waves a constant symphony
The sun begins to shine
And all is right with the rock
With the waves and the tide
With the beach and the lovers
All a story told in your eyes
And….print. Choose a title, and we’ll put it on.
Did I just get you to write with me??? lol
You name it you are better at that!
Storm In Your Eyes
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk perfect.
Humm.. This makes me feel warm and pleasant when I read it. I love the part about the bridge, and how it burns, just like you or me. I relate to that. I also love Hasty coming in and elaborating on the rock.. good stuff! good stuff! From very talented writers! I’m honored to be included in reading & writing.. ~ Jen
You both come along and make everything better.
